Italy, Homeland of Beauty: the winners of the 2026 call announced

On 7 May 2026 in Milan, Fondazione Italia Patria della Bellezza ETS revealed the 26 projects awarded in its 2026 call, spread across 13 regions and addressing the full spectrum of Italy's cultural sector.

The foundation combines direct grants and pro bono adoptions by communication agencies and professionals to boost accessibility and attractiveness of cultural assets: the programme received over 900 applications and has generated more than €6 million in value since 2021.

• Cash awards: three projects received €20,000 each: Museo Civico di Castelbuono (PA) – "Il Museo disponibile e l'Abbecedario Civico"; Territorio Guarimba (Amantea, CS); Cantiere Cultura of Antoniano di Bologna.
• Adoption schemes and partnerships: professional adoptions to strengthen visibility and visitor experience, including interventions for Fondazione Mus-e, the Museo dei Quaderni di Scuola, Civica Pinacoteca of Serra de’ Conti, Fondazione Torino Musei and the National Archaeological Museums of Chieti.
• Covered areas: historical-artistic heritage, scientific and naturalistic outreach, education and social inclusion, protection of distributed heritage, music in historic theatres and civic memory.

President Maurizio di Robilant underlined that "cultural heritage is a system that — if narrated — is able to create relationships and participation": an approach where communication becomes a lever for the economic and social development of local areas.

The 2026 selections highlight the foundation’s focus on diffuse excellence, aiming to turn cultural places into active community hubs beyond mainstream tourist circuits.
