Irene Liguori on display in Salerno

From April 10 to May 29, 2026, the Banca Campania Centro branch at Via Silvio Baratta 92, Salerno hosts a solo presentation by ceramic artist Irene Liguori. The exhibition is included in the national project Futuri Emergenti Italiani, a network showcasing over one hundred under-35 artists from across Italy.

What to expect

The selection highlights the artist's research through grès pieces with slips and glazes, small- to medium-scale sculptures and works that blend figurative symbolism with identity-based themes. A central piece on display is Madreparola, a third-fire grès (45x30x18 cm) notable for its symbolic narrative.

Curatorial context

The national initiative was curated by Cesare Biasini Selvaggi with a scientific committee that mapped more than 100 emerging artists. Participating credit cooperative bank spaces host these projects to reconnect artistic talents with their local communities and promote cultural exchange.

Themes and media

  • Materials: ceramics (grès), slips and mixed glazing techniques
  • Forms: sculpture, installation and contemporary ceramic practices
  • Themes: anatomical heart symbolism as a locus of identity and human temporality

Visitor information

Access to the exhibition follows the branch's opening hours. For visiting times, guided tours or further details, contact the hosting branch directly. The presentation is part of cultural promotion activities connecting young artists with local communities.

Why visit

The exhibition is a chance to engage with the work of a young ceramic practitioner included in a broader national effort to promote emerging art. It showcases material-based practices and symbolic languages that reflect regional ties and contemporary artistic inquiry.
