Igor Mitoraj. The Shape of Silence

The inaugural show of the new Teldil Art Gallery presents forty-one works from Atelier Mitoraj, the Igor Mitoraj Museum Foundation and Galleria Contini. Curated by Marco Giammetta, the exhibition highlights the artist's poetic use of fragmentary form.

Mitoraj's sculptures inhabit a suspended temporal realm: interrupted faces and bodies that recall the city's archaeological memory and turn absence into language. The installation, designed by Giammetta Architects within a former Bank of Italy building, uses a restrained architectural approach to emphasize the silent presence of the works.
