The Warriors of Light: Nino Barone’s exhibition in Termoli

Nuova Officina Solare Arte Contemporanea hosts a recent series by Nino Barone: seven paintings conceived as symbolic "warriors." The show combines visual intensity and conceptual intent, offering a contemporary artistic response to civic and cultural themes.

  • Venue: Nuova Officina Solare Arte Contemporanea, Corso Nazionale 12, Termoli (Italy)
  • Dates: until 13 April 2026
  • Opening hours: daily, 18:00–20:30
  • Access: check the gallery for updates on hours and visitor information

The seven canvases were painted for this exhibition: layered colored polygons crossed by black graphic textures produce surfaces that evoke totemic forms. Barone does not aim for literal depiction of warriors but seeks to release a spiritual force from the picture plane, turning color and sign into instruments of expression.

Conceptually the series draws on the idea of the inner fighter, transformed into a public statement: the works act as artistic testimony and a stance against cultural trends perceived by the artist as regressive. Color becomes the primary vehicle for emotional and symbolic communication.

Formally, the exhibition continues a line of investigation developed by Barone over decades: a conceptual painting language that maps relations of force, direction and chromatic frequency. His career includes numerous national and international exhibitions and works held in private collections.

Visitors are advised to plan their visit during the stated hours and to contact the gallery for information on guided visits or possible artist talks.
