Gradara: Rocca welcomes over 5,000 visitors during Easter holidays

The municipality of Gradara experienced a significant rise in tourist arrivals during the Easter break: more than 5,000 visitors attended the village and the Rocca between Saturday and Easter Monday, exceeding the number of residents (about 4,800).

Attendance peak: a high of 2,700 visitors was recorded on Easter Sunday, helped by the Ministry of Culture initiative '#domenicalmuseo', which provides free admission to state cultural sites on the first Sunday of each month.

  • The Rocca and the historic village reaffirm their status as key cultural tourism destinations in the Marche region, according to Rocca director Stefano Brachetti.
  • The municipality recently completed the acquisition of the Fondo Francesca da Rimini–Ferruccio Farina, housed at the Rocca, enhancing the cultural offering.
  • Gradara is joining the "Ciclovia dei Borghi più belli d'Italia nelle Marche" project; an information totem has already been installed at the village entrance.

Mayor Filippo Gasperi noted that participation in events such as the BIT in Milan and the Festival Tipicità, combined with local initiatives, is helping to position Gradara among the region's preferred cultural tourism destinations.
