The Artists of Villa Cenacolo: creativity and renewal

From 4 to 26 April 2026, RSA Villa Cenacolo in Lentate sul Seveso opens its doors with the exhibition “The Artists of Villa Cenacolo”. The free show presents artworks created by residents of Unit 5, highlighting how artistic practice supports wellbeing, communication and social connection in later life.

The creative path

The exhibition grows from a four-year workshop run inside the facility. Participants engaged in regular studio sessions using drawing, painting and mixed techniques to shape memories, emotions and personal identity into visual form. The collection on display reflects a direct, intimate visual language born from that process.

Project curatorship

The initiative was conceived and curated by illustrator and artist Alessia Beccalli, who developed the workshop around listening and relational methods. Her approach emphasized participants’ life stories and fostered a respectful environment for artistic exploration.

Techniques and themes on display

The works demonstrate a variety of expressive methods used in the studio. Notable techniques include:
