Giro d’Italia in Naples: finish at Piazza del Plebiscito on May 14

For the fifth consecutive year the Giro d’Italia reaches Naples. The Paestum–Naples stage is scheduled for Thursday 14 May 2026, with riders expected to enter the Naples area around 15:30 and to arrive in the city at about 17:00.

For this edition the finish will take place not on the seafront but in the iconic Piazza del Plebiscito, selected as the stage’s final destination.

Route and towns involved

• Province of Salerno: Paestum, Salerno, Vietri sul Mare, Cava de’ Tirreni, Nocera Inferiore, Sarno.
• Province of Naples: Palma Campania, San Paolo Belsito, Nola, Comiziano, Cimitile, Brusciano, Pomigliano d’Arco, Acerra, Cardito, Caivano, Frattamaggiore, Frattaminore, Afragola, Casoria and finish in Naples.

School arrangements

So far the municipalities that have announced school closures for Thursday May 14 are: Palma Campania, Casoria and Pomigliano d’Arco. Other local administrations affected by the race may issue further notices on suspended lessons or early releases. Students and families should follow official municipal updates for confirmation.
