The passage of the sixth stage of the Giro d'Italia 2026, from Paestum to Naples, will bring notable changes to traffic management and school routines across the province of Naples. The stage is scheduled for Thursday, 14 May, with the finish set in Piazza del Plebiscito and the peloton expected in the metropolitan area in the afternoon.

Extraordinary security measures will be implemented to allow the event to proceed: road closures, traffic diversions and circulation limits that may start several hours before the riders pass.

• Municipalities with full-day school closures: Palma Campania, Pomigliano d’Arco, Casoria.
• Municipalities with early dismissals: San Paolo Belsito (I.C. "Padre Arturo D’Onofrio" from 12:00), Cimitile (various school buildings from 11:30–12:00), Cardito (dismissal from 11:00).
• Measures in Naples: the Provincial Committee for Public Order and Safety is assessing whether to order closures or early dismissals for specific Municipalities or individual schools.

The route will enter the metropolitan area from the north, passing through municipalities such as Palma Campania, Nola, Pomigliano d’Arco, Acerra, Casoria, then moving toward the Centro Direzionale and along via Gianturco, via Reggia di Portici, via Marina and the seafront until Piazza del Plebiscito.
