Young Italian Photography 2026: “Voci / Voices”

The Giovane Fotografia Italiana | Premio Luigi Ghirri returns with its thirteenth edition featuring “Voci / Voices”, a collective exhibition of seven finalist projects chosen from over 300 submissions. Curated by Ilaria Campioli and Daniele De Luigi, the show highlights emerging Italian photographers under 35 who investigate personal, political and environmental themes.

What to expect

The exhibition is structured as a listening space for images: featured projects address the relationships between humans and non-humans, collective memory, migration, ecological crises and mourning. Different artistic approaches—from documentary to experimental—compose a layered visual landscape of contemporary issues.

Events and awards

On Sunday 3 May the Palazzo dei Musei will host a guided visit led by artists and curators at 11:00, followed by the prize ceremony at 12:30. The Luigi Ghirri Prize awards €4,000 and the winner will be offered a solo exhibition at Triennale Milano.

Additional opportunities include the special mention “New Trajectories” from the Italian Cultural Institute in Stockholm, which supports a period of study and a subsequent solo show in Sweden, and selection for the Photo-Match portfolio review at Fotofestiwal Łódź.
