Giacomo Balla. The Style of the Avant-Garde — Works from the Collections

MART in Rovereto presents for the first time in Italy the complete set of Giacomo Balla works held by the Biagiotti Cigna Foundation and the Laura and Lavinia Biagiotti collection. The exhibition highlights Balla’s role in Futurism and his pursuit of a "total art" that extends painting into objects, furnishings and fashion.

• About 200 works including paintings, studies, crafted objects, furnishings and design pieces.
• Garments and accessories that document Balla’s interest in fashion as an experimental field.
• Panels and objects showing how dynamic pictorial motifs (wedges, vortices, arabesques) were applied to everyday items.
• Works illustrating the creative dialogue with Fortunato Depero and the context of the Futurist reconstruction of the universe.
