Maggio dei Monumenti in Aversa: tour of historic gardens and palaces

Aversa marks Maggio dei Monumenti with a two-day program focused on the city's heritage: guided tours, a photographic exhibition and special openings of historic palaces and public spaces. The initiative also ties into World Biodiversity Day, highlighting historic green areas.

The schedule, presented by the municipal administration, is organized in collaboration with the FAI group, the Diocese, local schools and several civic associations. The program is aimed at residents and visitors wishing to explore the Norman-era architecture and cultural sites.

• Open sites: Palazzo Vitale, Palazzo Saporito, Palazzo Orineti, the former Casa del Fascio (under redevelopment as Casa Millennio).
• Cultural venues: Diocesan Museum of Aversa, Paolo VI Library, the former OPG museum.
• Religious and social buildings: Cathedral of San Paolo, Church of San Giovanni Evangelista (photography exhibition opening), Giacinto Sagliano retirement home.

The former Casa del Fascio will host the presentation of Aversa's bid for Italian Capital of Culture 2030 and will house the municipal Department of Culture. Guided tours and special openings provide practical opportunities to visit both monumental interiors and the city's historic gardens.
