Giacomo Balla at MART Rovereto: monographic exhibition on total art
The MART - Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Trento and Rovereto hosts a monographic exhibition dedicated to Giacomo Balla, connecting painting, clothing and everyday objects to reconstruct his concept of total art.
What to see
- More than 200 works from the Fondazione Biagiotti Cigna and the collection of Laura and Lavinia Biagiotti.
- Paintings shown alongside furniture, textiles and garments that demonstrate the application of Futurist motifs (wedges, vortices, arabesques) onto diverse materials.
- A dialogue with the MART's permanent collections, including references to Futurism and Fortunato Depero, which broadens the reading of the early 20th century.
- Curated by Beatrice Avanzi and Fabio Benzi, the route is organized around the Biagiotti collections to highlight crossovers between art, fashion and design.
