Ghisallo 20: a cycling celebration for the museum's 20th anniversary

Opening date: Saturday, 18 April 2026, 17:00. The Museo del Ciclismo Madonna del Ghisallo inaugurates Ghisallo 20, an exhibition project marking its twentieth year with the temporary show "20 Bikes for 20 Years".

The exhibition features a rotating collection of twenty historic and contemporary bicycles, presented as "candles" that will be revealed one by one through the season. Fifteen bikes are already on display at the opening, with more to be added over time.

What to expect

Three exhibition rooms trace the museum's first twenty years through memorabilia, images and emblematic bikes provided by manufacturers and champions. The selection highlights technical innovations and memorable sporting moments from both classic and recent cycling history.

  • Historic frames and classics-specialized bikes (e.g., Gios associated with Roger De Vlaeminck).
  • Iconic machines from recent champions (e.g., bikes linked to Marco Pantani, Mario Cipollini, Vincenzo Nibali, Julian Alaphilippe, Remco Evenepoel, Jai Hindley, Demi Vollering).
  • Commemorative and special edition models supplied by leading cycling brands (Bianchi, BMC, Canyon, Colnago, Giant, Gios, Pinarello, Specialized, Wilier Triestina).

The ribbon-cutting will be accompanied by a bicycle parade that emphasizes the museum's connection with the local community and the wider cycling world.
