Gerano: inaugurated refurbished access to the Santuario of Saint Anatolia

On May 8 the community of Gerano attended the inauguration of the refurbished access to the Santuario of Saint Anatolia, held at the Prato di Santa Anatolia with citizens, faithful and institutional representatives present.

The works focused on securing and upgrading the entrance area to the religious complex, improving usability, accessibility and welcome for the many visitors and pilgrims who reach the sanctuary each year.

• Context: part of interventions linked to the Giubileo 2025 programme.
• Institutional attendees: Mayor Danilo Felici, Deputy Mayor of the Metropolitan City Pierluigi Sanna, Jubilee Delegate Marco Vincenzi, Archbishop Rino Fisichella, Bishop Mauro Parmeggiani and local mayors.

The initiative strengthens Gerano's role as a place of hospitality and spirituality and promotes the cultural and landscape heritage of the village, coming shortly after the successful Infiorata of Gerano, a traditional event that draws visitors from the region.
