Florence Cocktail Week: 10th edition spotlights Italian talent

From 16 to 22 April 2026, Florence welcomes the tenth edition of Florence Cocktail Week, created and directed by Paola Mencarelli. The event highlights the city's mixology scene and promotes Mindful and Responsible Drinking.

Born in 2016 with 13 venues, the festival now involves over 70 locations among Selected Bars and Event Partners. Each of the 55 Selected Cocktail Bars will present an FCW26 Drink List with three cocktails: a Signature Cocktail, a Wellness Cocktail (Low ABV or Alcohol Free) and a Classic Cocktail, emphasizing tradition alongside innovation.

Key events and highlights

• Masterclasses, guest shifts and brunches: a distributed program across cocktail bars and hotel bars, available on the official event website.
• Martini Social Club: special guest shift at Locale Firenze on Thursday 16 April at 19:30, with six leading Italian bartenders presenting classic and contemporary twists.
• Opening brunch: Thursday 16 April, 12:30–15:00, Polot 1882 with a cocktail list by Moebius Milano.
• FCW26 Contest: Thursday 16 April at 14:30 at Locale Firenze, recalling the spirit of the first edition and featuring long-standing contributors to the Italian cocktail scene.
• Historic Cafés Tour: cultural walk concluding at Caffè Gilli 1733 with a Negroni tasting.
• Young Guest Bartender: 31 under-25 bartenders taking shifts across participating bars throughout the week.
• Wellness and alcohol-free focus: drink lists indicate alcohol content; on Saturday 18 April at Caffè Concerto Paszkowski a book presenting top alcohol-free experiences in Italy will be launched.

The festival also connects with other Italian Cocktail Week events across the country, fostering exchange between local bartenders and Italian professionals working abroad and reinforcing the cultural value of Italian mixology.
