Treccani Festival of the Italian Language in Lecce: closing on May 10

The Lecce edition of the ninth Treccani Festival of the Italian Language, promoted by Fondazione Treccani Cultura, closes on Sunday May 10 with lectures, discussions on language in contemporary songs and an event devoted to women of the Mediterranean.

• 10:00 - Libreria Liberrima: Le parole del giorno, morning press review with Pierpaolo Lala and Gianandrea Mannarini.
• Lecture by linguist Marcello Aprile on dialogue in television narrative.
• 12:00 - Le parole delle canzoni, moderated by Eleonora Moscara, featuring Carolina Bubbico, Cristiana Verardo and Claudio Prima, exploring how Italian evolves in song lyrics.
• 19:00 - Complesso degli Agostiniani: Mediterraneo: a sea of women between passages and narratives, with scholar Emanuela Bufacchi and readings by Veronica Mele.

The evening event is part of the Festival del Mediterraneo within the broader Armonie del Mediterraneo – Viaggi, miti e ritorni programme. The Lecce stage is organized by Fondazione Treccani Cultura with local partners; admission is free until capacity is reached.
