Festival dei Due Mondi launches "Adopt an Artist"

The Festival dei Due Mondi in Spoleto has announced "Adopt an Artist", a community-hosting initiative designed to welcome young international talents during the summer masterclasses. Framed within the 2026 theme "Roots", the project aims to turn the study period into a meaningful cultural exchange between artists and residents.

Event period and deadlines

Project period: from 27 June to 14 July 2026.

Application deadline: 30 May 2026. Interested hosts must submit their application via the festival's official website or at local information points.

Who can apply

Residents or domiciliaries of Spoleto and surrounding areas with a suitable space may apply to host an artist.

Host requirements

• A single room available for the full period;
• Access to essential services (bathroom, heating/cooling, kitchen access);
• A peaceful home environment that supports study and concentration;
• Willingness to follow organizational guidelines set by the Foundation.

Artist obligations

Selected artists are expected to observe rules of conduct and neighbourly behaviour for the duration of the masterclasses. Special protection protocols and safety measures will be in place for minors, complying with current regulations.

Selection and safeguards

The Foundation will vet host families through interviews, technical inspections and document checks. Evaluation will consider logistical suitability as well as cultural engagement and reliability of applicants.
