Pontassieve Renaissance Festival: program and presentation at Palazzo del Pegaso

When: from 7 to 10 May 2026

Where: Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II and the historic center of Pontassieve

Pontassieve revives Renaissance traditions with the 14th edition of its Renaissance Festival, a celebration focused on historical reenactments and events that highlight the town's monumental heritage. The festival will animate the streets and squares with performances designed to showcase the historic urban fabric.

Presentation

The press conference presenting the festival will take place on Monday 27 April 2026 at 1:00 PM in the Sassoli Media Center at Palazzo del Pegaso. Local officials and the festival organizers are scheduled to speak.

What to see and do

  • historical parades with costumed participants;
  • falconry demonstrations;
  • archery displays and interactive trials;
  • stilt-walking performances and street theatre;
  • themed markets offering artisanal and period goods;
  • tastings of local food and wine specialties.

Practical information

The festival takes place across the town's monumental squares and streets: plan to arrive early on peak days to find parking and follow the reenactment routes comfortably. Check the official Pontassieve municipal channels for the latest schedule and any program updates.
