Liberation Day 2026 in Turin: events scheduled for April 25

Turin commemorates April 25 with a programme of institutional and cultural events that honour the Liberation from Nazism and Fascism and promote the city’s historical memory. The day features tributes to the fallen, neighborhood marches, guided tours and performances within the Festival of Peace, Freedom and Resistance.

• 09:00 – Participatory installation Mille Papaveri Rossi in the Polo del ’900 courtyard.
• 09:45 – Guided visit Memorie in comune, from Palazzo Civico to Palazzo Madama (reservation required).
• 09:45 – Commemorative procession from Concerie Fiorio to the Martinetto Shrine (Circoscrizione 4).
• 10:00–20:00 – Openings and visits: Centro studi Piero Gobetti, Museo Diffuso della Resistenza (Torino 38-48), National Museum of the Risorgimento and themed routes in the historic centre.
• 10:00 – Ceremony in Piazza XVIII Dicembre with wreath-laying for the victims of the Turin massacre.
• 11:00 – A Better Way, a narrative concert at the Martinetto Shrine; screenings and events at Polo del ’900 and the Museo Diffuso della Resistenza.
• 15:00 – March through the memory sites of Mirafiori Sud, concluding at Casa nel Parco di Mirafiori.
• 17:00 – Performance Finché soffia il vento della Resistenza at the Polo del ’900 auditorium.
• 18:00 – Opening concert of the Torino Jazz Festival at the Conservatory with Moni Ovadia and the Kassiber Ensemble.

Most events are free unless otherwise noted; some require prior booking. Related exhibitions, meetings and screenings take place in the days leading up to April 25 as part of the city’s wider remembrance programme.
