For Mother's Day the Herculaneum Archaeological Park is hosting morning sessions designed for families and young people with neurodevelopmental disorders. The initiative aims to provide a safe, accessible and engaging cultural experience with trained staff and specialist support.
Tours are arranged to minimize sensory overload: routes include specialist support, limited group size and shorter duration to encourage calm participation. The park provides tools and activities suitable for neurodiversity and educational needs.
The initiative is part of the "Cultura senza barriere" project, which aims to make cultural sites more welcoming and usable. For bookings and practical information visit the dedicated page on coopculture.it.
Practical tip: wear comfortable clothing and arrive a few minutes before the welcome time to help group entry proceed smoothly.
