On 11 May 2026 the Herculaneum Archaeological Park hosted an event focused on cultural accessibility within the "May of Books 2026" programme. Ten users from a multifunctional centre for adults with disabilities attended, accompanied by centre and library staff.

The initiative was organised in cooperation with the municipal library "G. Buonajuto" and the social cooperative Boetheia onlus. Participants were supported by three centre operators and two library staff members.
This activity is part of a broader commitment to make the park more accessible and inclusive, encouraging personal and social autonomy through the appreciation and enhancement of local heritage.
Park director Federica Colaiacomo emphasized the value of such programmes as practical ways to engage wider audiences and ensure that ancient heritage is available to everyone.
