"Micropolitan Energies": the roadshow starts in Bologna

On Thursday 8 May 2026 at 18:00 Salaborsa will host the public meeting launching a roadshow promoted by Touring Club Italiano and Fondazione B.Live. The initiative focuses on the role of medium-sized cities — referred to as “micropolitan” — in rethinking development, services and territorial connections.

• Aim: to promote towns with populations between 20,000 and 100,000 as drivers of innovation, services and quality of life.
• Speakers announced: Bologna mayor Matteo Lepore, journalist Milena Gabanelli, Peccioli mayor Renzo Macelloni, Marco Marcatili, Costanza De Stefani, Massimiliano Colombi and other institutional and cultural voices.
• Admission: free. Venue: Salaborsa, Bologna.
• Next step: the discussion will continue in Rome with a presentation at the Senate scheduled for Monday 11 May 2026, moving the debate from local to national level.

The book "Energie micropolitane" (Touring Club Italiano) will serve as the starting point for the discussion, aiming to turn cultural reflection into concrete territorial policy proposals.
