The Emilia‑Romagna Region has approved a cultural framework law designed to strengthen the network among local authorities, cultural institutions, operators and the third sector. The law aims to address contemporary challenges with coordinated tools for heritage promotion, the arts and support for creative sectors.
The measure focuses on several pillars: shared governance, streamlined funding mechanisms, policies to foster citizen participation and steps to accelerate the digital transition of cultural institutions. Priorities include reinforcing museums and libraries, supporting festivals and local productions, and enhancing professional skills in the sector.
The framework law also sets out timelines and implementation phases, with planned calls for projects and agreements with local authorities. In the coming months, operational guidelines and the first public notices for cultural projects are expected to be released.
