Medina Art Gallery presents Without Silence, a solo show by Dimitra Laoutari curated by Georgia Trouli. The exhibition focuses on Laoutari's realistic studies of flowers, with the poppy at the center of a symbolic and intimate visual narrative.

After a phase of expressive painting, the artist moved toward a more realistic portrayal of floral subjects as a means to develop a broader narrative. The poppy appears as a motif of contrasts — delicate yet vivid, ephemeral yet suggestive of renewal — and informs works that balance lyrical color with contemplative undertones. Rather than depicting contemporary conflict directly, the paintings convey emotional responses through dreamlike and melancholic imagery, maintaining an ultimately hopeful register.
