SommersiVo is Dardust's installation presented at the Venice Pavilion of the 61st International Art Exhibition (9 May – 22 November 2026). The project interprets Venice as a living sonic organism, blending layered memories with contemporary urban sounds.
The installation is an immersive environment powered by an artificial intelligence-driven sound system. It processes city noises, environmental data and visitor interactions in real time to generate continuously evolving musical landscapes.
The work includes scheduled autonomous piano performances: eight fixed sessions per day, on the hour, each creating a distinct, unrepeatable soundscape. Visitors therefore actively shape the composition through their presence and movement.
The project was developed with scenographer Paolo Fantin and supported technologically by H-Farm and Cisco. Curated by Giovanna Zabotti, it explores Venice’s dual condition — surface and submerged — through sonic translation.
Alongside SommersiVo, Dardust is on tour with Urban Impressionism, performing in various European cities and connecting live shows with installation practice.
