A new permanent institution honors Nenne Sanguineti Poggi, a Ligurian artist whose career spanned Europe and the Horn of Africa. The NSP Museum presents an immersive exhibition path combining paintings, mosaics, archival documents and multimedia installations to shed light on a multifaceted and internationally active figure of the 20th century.
The exhibition is curated by Monica Brondi and realized through a collaboration between NSP Art Italia and NSP Art USA, with patronage from the Municipality of Finale Ligure and the De Mari Foundation. The museum is located in the historic Fortezza di Castelfranco, a venue recently enhanced as a cultural hub.
The displays juxtapose original works and archival material, helping visitors understand the range of practices embraced by the artist — from painting and mosaics to large-scale public commissions carried out in cities such as Asmara and Addis Ababa.
The launch of the NSP Museum marks an important moment in rediscovering Nenne Sanguineti Poggi’s work and strengthens Finale Ligure's cultural profile by linking historic settings with contemporary exhibition practices. The program will include further events and focused studies on the artist.
