From Drapo to Tricolor: historical reenactment at Palazzo Cisterna

On Sunday, March 15, Turin hosts the second edition of the historical reenactment "Dal Drapo' al Tricolore", an event celebrating Turin and Piedmont's role in the unification of Italy. The initiative features costumed groups, historical characters and living tableaux, set against the city's monumental backdrops.

The event is promoted by A.T. Pro Loco Torino, with the patronage of the Metropolitan City of Turin, and organized by the Comitato Manifestazioni Torinesi in collaboration with the Associazione Arma di Fanteria di Torino and the Coordinamento dei Gruppi Storici piemontesi.

Schedule and route

• Date & time: Sunday, March 15; gathering and departure in the afternoon (around 3:00 PM).
• Start point: the steps of the Monumental Church of San Filippo Neri, via Maria Vittoria.
• Route: historic procession through the city center, with stops for living tableaux in the Gardens of Palazzo Cisterna (via Carlo Alberto) and a passage in front of Piazza Carignano.
• Finish: baroque and Risorgimento-era dances in Piazza Carlo Alberto.
