COMICON OFF 2026 turns Naples into a pop culture laboratory

From April 10 to May 31, 2026, COMICON OFF returns as the festival’s off‑site program, activating museums, libraries, galleries, theatres and public spaces across Naples. The widespread calendar aims to engage diverse audiences and strengthen cultural ties within the city and beyond.

  • Alta frequenza: events across municipal districts and historic sites such as Palazzo Cavalcanti and the Metro Art Stations.
  • In città (In the city): programming in cultural institutions including the Istituto Cervantes, Teatro Bellini, University of Naples Federico II, Casa del Cinema, as well as independent bookstores and venues.
  • Oltre i confini (Beyond the borders): activities extending into the province to reach wider communities.

A notable highlight is the Robert Crumb retrospective "Robert Crumb. Cattivi pensieri" at Castel Nuovo / Maschio Angioino, on view from May 27 to August 31, 2026. The exhibition presents key works from Crumb’s archive and explores the comic artist’s contribution to contemporary visual culture. Visiting hours: Monday–Saturday, 10:00–18:00. Castle + exhibition ticket: full €15.00 – reduced €10.00 for residents of the Metropolitan City of Naples.

COMICON OFF combines exhibitions, talks, workshops, live drawing sessions, K‑pop events, performances and music, aiming to make culture more accessible and to build a collaborative network among institutions, libraries and local associations.
