Cycle tourism in Italy: 2025 figures and emerging trends

The "Viaggiare in bici 2026" report, prepared by Isnart-Unioncamere for the Chambers of Commerce Tourism Observatory in collaboration with Legambiente, outlines a growing and increasingly structured sector. The study reports about 49 million cycle-tourism stays in 2025, generating an estimated €6.4 billion in economic impact.

Based on over 30,000 interviews, including more than 2,000 respondents who identified cycling as the primary activity of their stay, the research highlights shifts in visitor profiles and behaviours as well as the expansion of services across regions.
