Chiara Camoni: "Con te con tutto" at Padiglione Italia

Period: May 9 - November 22, 2026

At Padiglione Italia of the 61st Venice Biennale, housed in the Tese delle Vergini at the Arsenale, Chiara Camoni presents Con te con tutto, an installation that merges sculpture, natural materials and participatory practices. Curated by Cecilia Canziani and promoted by the Ministry of Culture, the project shapes the exhibition space into a forest of anthropomorphic figures and objects evoking ties between the human, nature and the sacred.

The installation features around twenty-four life-size figures crafted from clay and terracotta, combined with shells, shrubs, stones and found materials. These sculptures occupy a suggestive landscape where low light and an electronic soundtrack heighten the sensory atmosphere.

Active participation and the "Dialogues" section

A key aspect of the project is public participation: visitors are invited to work clay at the potter's wheel, directly contributing to the artwork's collective dimension. The exhibition route unfolds across several spaces:

  • first hall: a "forest" of anthropomorphic sculptures integrating natural and reclaimed elements;
  • second hall: the Dialogues section, designed as a domestic architecture in progress where everyday objects converse with historical works by 20th-century masters;
  • a central square with seating that functions as a physical locus for community and rest.

The project emphasizes craft practices and relational processes, blurring the boundary between artist and audience and proposing art as a shared experience. It invites reflection on care for the world and on materiality as a form of memory, connecting contemporary practice with historical references.
