Cefalù: presentation of "La Terra dei Giganti. Studies in Archaeology and History in memory of Giovanni Mannino"

On Saturday 14 March 2026 at 17:00, the Sala delle Capriate in the Municipal Palace of Cefalù will host the presentation of the volume edited by Alfonso Lo Cascio and Antonino Filippi. The book gathers scholarly contributions focused on archaeological and historical research in Sicily and the island of Malta from Prehistory to the Middle Ages.

Main programme:

• Institutional greetings by Francesco Calabrese (President of the Municipal Council), Mayor Daniele Tumminello, and Josè Gugliuzza (President of CAI Cefalù).
• Editors Alfonso Lo Cascio and Antonino Filippi will outline the book's content and research themes.
• Moderation by Valentina Portera, President of the BCsicilia branch in Cefalù.
• Commemorative remarks by Marcello Panzica La Manna, a speleologist with a long-standing role in the CAI.
