Castiglione Messer Raimondo officially reopened its restored municipal building following an 18-month renovation. Funded with regional resources totaling €600,000, the project has upgraded the historic structure to serve both administrative and emergency-management roles.

Key aspects of the refurbishment:

• Restoration and structural consolidation of the town's historic palace;
• Creation of a local Civil Protection Operations Centre (COC) equipped with dedicated infrastructure;
• Installation of a new generator to secure power during outages;
• Provision of a radio station to ensure communications in emergency scenarios;
• Enhancement of civic memory with a new mayors' register crafted in local ceramics.

The inauguration gathered municipal representatives and residents and was presented by the administration as a milestone for the historic centre's recovery. The mayor emphasized the role of the restored town hall in strengthening community life and local governance.

At the same time, the municipality has initiated the process to join the "Borghi più belli d'Italia" association, aiming to convert post-earthquake recovery and restoration efforts into cultural and tourism development for the ValFino area.
