Calabria launches 'Calabria Straordinaria': assessor Calabrese urges municipalities to join

On 22 April 2026, regional Tourism, Labour and Economic Development assessor Giovanni Calabrese sent an official communication to all Calabrian mayors inviting them to register for the Operators Area of the Calabria Straordinaria portal. The initiative aims to build an integrated, up-to-date tourist offer by promoting events, churches, museums, monuments and local routes.

The multilingual platform allows municipalities to publish information, posters and points of interest to increase the visibility of local assets. The letter also notes that a designated representative may complete the registration and submit the required documents on behalf of the municipality.

• Regional support: the platform's editorial team can upload content on request after receiving materials by e-mail.
• Visibility: municipalities are encouraged to add the portal link to their official homepages.

The Region describes Calabria Straordinaria as a strategic tool to promote the destination nationally and internationally, supporting coordinated, innovative and accessible promotion of the territory.
