Bosa, already listed among Italy’s most picturesque historic villages, has been selected for the regional “Turismo nei borghi” initiative. The town will receive a total of €2.5 million over three years to support targeted projects that enhance the historic centre and sustainable tourism offerings.
These complementary measures align with existing regional itineraries and are designed to position Bosa as a quality destination—combining heritage conservation, service sustainability and strategic development.
An overarching agreement to start implementation is due to be signed shortly; project execution is planned across the next three years. The interventions aim to improve urban usability, strengthen Bosa’s national profile and attract visitors seeking authentic cultural experiences.
Local leaders highlight that the town’s selection reflects its strong identity and high-quality heritage, which can drive cultural and economic development. The tourism office emphasizes that the funding will be directed towards territorial marketing and a coordinated cultural programme to extend the visitor season.
