International UNESCO Tourism Exchange in Sardinia: first edition in Olbia

The inaugural International UNESCO Tourism Exchange in Sardinia will take place from 17 to 19 June 2026 at the Civic Museum of Olbia. Organized by the regional tourism department, the event aims to promote Sardinia's UNESCO sites and slow-tourism attractions.

• Agenda: conferences, presentations and operational B2B sessions.
• Expected participants: about 40 buyers and over 100 sellers (tour operators, local authorities, cultural site managers and walking-network operators).
• Educational tours: guided visits to archaeological sites such as Domus de Janas, Nuraghi, Giant's Tombs and sacred wells on the final day.

The exchange is designed to build marketable tourism products around UNESCO-recognized heritage: with the recent inclusion of the Domus de Janas, Sardinia now benefits from a wider set of sites across multiple municipalities, enabling more compelling cultural tourism offers.

How to apply: interested operators wishing to take part as sellers must submit applications via the SIPES platform. Deadline for submissions is 27 April 2026.
