Borgo diVino special tour: three Friulian borghi in one weekend

On the first weekend of May 2026 a special edition of Borgo diVino takes place in Friuli Venezia Giulia. The three-stop regional event combines historical visits and wine culture in Strassoldo, Gradisca d'Isonzo and Palmanova, offering guided walks, masterclasses and tasting stations to explore local varieties and producers.

Program

• Friday, May 1 – Strassoldo: the legacy of Refosco

  Morning: guided visit in the village (09:30–11:30). At 11:30 a masterclass "Refosco through time: 300 years of production" at Villa Vitas, featuring local labels from the Strassoldo–Cervignano area.

• Saturday, May 2 – Gradisca d'Isonzo: crossroads of flavours

  Morning: guided walk in the historic centre (09:30–11:30). At 11:30 a masterclass "Isonzo, Carso and Collio" at the Enoteca Regionale La Serenissima, a comparative tasting of terroirs and selected wineries.

• Sunday, May 3 – Palmanova: grand finale at the Polveriera

  Morning: guided visit to the fortifications and the unique star-shaped layout (09:30–11:30). From 11:30 to 19:00 tasting stalls open at the Polveriera Napoleonica Garzoni, showcasing a wide range of Friulian wines.

Organised by Valica S.p.A., promoted by the "I Borghi più belli d'Italia" association with institutional partnership from "Io sono Friuli Venezia Giulia". The initiative highlights local architectural heritage and regional wine traditions.
