Welcome back Giro to Milan: Vigorelli becomes the temple of 'pink passion'

Milan welcomes the return of the Giro d'Italia with Waiting for the Giro, a series of events combining sporting memory, youth activities and exhibitions dedicated to the history of the Pink Race. The aim is to promote the Vigorelli Velodrome as an open space and a symbol of the city's cycling tradition.

• Trofeo Rosa Milanosport (20-21 May): track competitions at Vigorelli for youth categories including sprint, scratch, elimination, keirin and pursuit.
• Exhibition "A Life in the Giro" (24-31 May): dedicated to the Maglia Rosa and Vincenzo Torriani, featuring historic jerseys, photographs and original materials, in collaboration with the Madonna del Ghisallo Cycling Museum.
• Photo exhibition "The Righteous in Sport" (20-31 May): stories of athletes committed to human rights, organized with the Gariwo Foundation.
• GranMila'n Vigorelli (10 May): the non-competitive run that opened the programme, connecting road and track cycling.
• 24 May: the day the race passes through the city; the Comunale Cozzi pool will host the Quarter Stage as the operational and media hub.

Promoted by the Municipality and Milanosport with local sports and cultural partners, the schedule aims to engage citizens and younger generations while celebrating Milan’s long-standing ties with the Giro d'Italia.
