From 25 March to 13 September 2026, Museo Novecento in Florence presents "Baselitz. AVANTI!", a major monographic exhibition dedicated to Georg Baselitz that places particular emphasis on his graphic work while engaging painting and sculpture in dialogue.
Curated by Sergio Risaliti with the collaboration of Daniel Blau, the show brings together more than 170 works — including works on paper, paintings and sculptures — arranged across the museum's three floors. A significant portion consists of prints and linocuts, framing printmaking as an autonomous and central field in Baselitz's practice.
The exhibition offers the chance to engage with the critical force and technical investigation of one of the most significant living artists in contemporary art. It underscores how printmaking functions as a primary arena for Baselitz’s experimentation, not merely as a supplement to his painting and sculpture.
