Bagnone celebrates CAI mountain-village recognition: two days of conferences, hikes and outdoor activities
On the weekend of May 16–17, 2026 Bagnone officially joins the CAI Villaggi Montani initiative. The programme, aimed at enhancing mountain areas and promoting sustainable tourism, includes public discussions, guided hikes and hands-on nature workshops to support year-round mountain living.
Schedule overview
- Saturday, May 16 – morning: from 9:00 a roundtable at the Museo Archivio della Memoria titled "High lands: Bagnone, what future?" with institutional representatives, CAI (national, regional and local), the National Park of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines and national experts.
- Saturday, May 16 – midday: ceremony in Piazza Marconi for the awarding of the "Villaggi Montani CAI" plaques to the Municipality and partner businesses, followed by a buffet and folk music.
- Saturday, May 16 – afternoon: free activities with mandatory reservation including natural workshops at Ostello La Stele (Treschietto), e-bike rides and guided village tours.
- Saturday evening: dine at partner producers with the "Village Dinner" menu (reservation required).
- Sunday, May 17: guided hike in the National Park of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines. Meeting point at the CAI Tornini mountain hut (1,300 m) with off-road transfer; approx. 2.5-hour walk to the Giovarello hut and Giovarello saddle, return for a convivial aperitif.
- Closing: lunch in Treschietto's square at the traditional Onion Festival organized by the local association.
