Atoms of Imagination: Art&Science at the former stables of Palazzo Moroni

From 13 to 29 March 2026 Padua hosts Atoms of Imagination, an exhibition of the Art&Science Across Italy project that fosters dialogue between scientific research and artistic creativity. The show displays works by students who, through educational programs, give visual and sculptural form to ideas and phenomena from physics.

  • Location: Former Stables of Palazzo Moroni, via del Municipio 1, Padua
  • Dates: 13 – 29 March 2026
  • Opening hours: 09:30–12:30 / 15:00–18:00 (closed on Mondays)
  • Admission: free

The initiative is promoted by the National Institute for Nuclear Physics (INFN) and CERN in Geneva, in partnership with several Italian universities and with local institutional support. Through installations, images and diverse expressive languages, students reinterpret scientific models and phenomena, turning research topics into cultural and aesthetic experiences.

The exhibition space is hosted in the former stables of Palazzo Moroni, the historic municipal palace of Padua. Dating back to the 13th century, the building is a key historical and institutional landmark, adding a monument-oriented dimension to the exhibition.

In 2026 Art&Science Across Italy will be staged in multiple Italian cities, including Bari, Bologna, Florence, Milan, Naples, Rome and Turin, in addition to Padua. For practical details and updates consult local cultural channels or the municipal culture website.
