ASviS: Festival of Sustainable Development 2026 runs from May 6 to 22

From May 6 to 22, 2026 the Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development (ASviS), together with more than 300 member organizations, organizes the Festival of Sustainable Development, featuring hundreds of initiatives across Italy and online centered on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the UN 2030 Agenda.

The program includes conferences, workshops, book presentations and cultural events aimed at bringing sustainability topics closer to citizens, engaging institutions, businesses, universities and civil society.

Main stops and themes

• Milan — May 6: opening event with the ASviS Spring Report 2026, focusing on business, finance and industrial transitions.
• Brussels — May 8: event on European leadership for the post-2030 agenda (international collaboration linked to the Festival).
• Bologna — May 11-12: sustainable and inclusive cities, with emphasis on female empowerment and urban transformation.
• Parma — May 13: Ecosistema Futuro's Future Day, beginning the path toward Parma as European Youth Capital 2027.
• Turin — May 14-16: AI and SDGs, examining opportunities and risks of artificial intelligence for sustainability.
• Florence — May 15: Energy Square at Palazzo Vecchio, high-level discussions on the energy transition.
• Bari — May 18: social innovation and reducing regional disparities in the South.
• Genoa — May 20: environment and biodiversity, focusing on Mediterranean ecosystems and nature-based solutions.
• Rome — May 22: closing event at the Sala della Regina, Palazzo Montecitorio, with public presentation of the Festival's outcomes.

The Festival is driven by the active participation of citizens and organizations and combines scientific analysis with cultural formats — including concerts and artistic installations — to spread the messages of the 2030 Agenda.
