When: 25–30 May 2026 (exhibitions open until 6 June). Where: cultural venues across Turin.
Turin will become a hub for international artistic research: ARWE - Art Research World Expo brings together projects, performances and exhibitions by academies and AFAM institutions from more than 30 countries. The event is the culmination of the INAR project and aims to promote artistic research, international collaboration and cultural sustainability.
Before the official opening, a series of preview events are scheduled: notably the exhibition curated by Franko B at PAV, In Between Places You Can Find Me (16 March–26 April), showcasing students’ and researchers’ works from the Accademia Albertina that explore human/non-human relations, ecology and research-driven practices.
The programme involves Turin’s main cultural hubs: the Savoy Royal Residences (Villa della Regina and Palazzo Carignano), Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, Fondazione Accorsi-Ometto, Gallerie d’Italia, Fondazione Amendola, Museo Egizio, Camera - Italian Centre for Photography, and other venues under confirmation. Exhibitions are spread across multiple locations to foster exchange between the public, students and cultural professionals.
ARWE 2026 offers a clear view of how higher art education institutions transform practice into collective research. It is a key appointment for anyone interested in contemporary art, interdisciplinary experimentation and the international exchange of creative knowledge.
