Autore: Redazione 12/04/2026 10:00

Italy's first Museum of Philosophy: overview

The first Museum of Philosophy in Italy is taking shape. Without a permanent home yet, the initiative runs itinerant exhibits designed to make abstract ideas accessible through interactive installations, experiential routes and activities that engage visitors directly.

Upcoming dates and location

The museum will appear at the Science and Philosophy Festival in Fabriano and Perugia, starting on 16 April 2026. A permanent venue is planned in Milan in 2027.

What to expect

  • Interactive displays that translate philosophical themes into practical experiences;
  • programmes aimed at diverse audiences, including game-based activities to explore abstract concepts;
  • an itinerant format intended to bring philosophy into different local contexts across Italy.

Why visit

The project aims to make philosophy approachable beyond academic settings by offering participatory tools that encourage personal reflection and discussion. It's suitable for newcomers and for those seeking fresh, hands-on ways to engage with ideas.

Practical information

  • Noted date: 16 April 2026 (event at the Science and Philosophy Festival in Fabriano and Perugia).
  • As the museum operates itinerantly, check the programme and participation details for each stop.
  • Recommended for schools, families and adults interested in interactive cultural experiences.
