Ancona named Italian Capital of Culture 2028: integrated governance protocol launched

The municipal council of Ancona has approved a memorandum of understanding to set up an integrated cultural governance framework in preparation for its role as Italian Capital of Culture 2028. The move, led by the city's Culture Department, seeks to align local resources and expertise around a shared and sustainable cultural programme.

The municipality states that the path to 2028 requires structured coordination and the systematic involvement of public bodies, cultural institutions, associations and private operators that contribute to the city's cultural life.
