On Tuesday 31 March at 11:00 the atrium of Lungotevere Pierleoni will host the presentation of Municipio I’s first public piano: a C. Bechstein grand piano built in Berlin in 1895 and restored through filological conservation to preserve its original character and acoustic qualities.
The instrument was granted on free loan by a Roman citizen and will be included in a cultural project open to the public. The Municipality will provide custody, maintenance and protection under an established regulation.
The initiative aims to provide a public stage for professional and emerging musicians, promote musical culture and repurpose institutional spaces as lively, accessible meeting points. Culture Councillor Giulia Silvia Ghia described the piano as “much more than a musical instrument,” while Municipio President Lorenza Bonaccorsi emphasized the goal of making culture everyday and inclusive.
For regulations and further details consult the Municipio’s information channels or the Tupassi system.
