From 10 to 19 April 2026, the Galleria Internazionale Area Contesa ArteDesign at Via Margutta 90 in Rome presents Freak, the first solo exhibition by Amanda Rosi (aka The Blonde Argonaut). The show centers on photographic nudity filtered through body-horror language to depict various forms of violence affecting the female body.

Themes and artistic language

Freak is not a conventional exhibition of the nude: it is a visual inquiry that employs pulp aesthetics and unsettling imagery to render the body as landscape, highlighting physical, social and biological forms of violence. The artist addresses the female condition as a site of control and oppression while proposing acts of resistance, including references to transhumanist ideas as a possible escape from biologically imposed roles.
