Alessandro Ristori, the king of “La Dolce Vita” aiming for Sanremo

Autore: Luigi Graziano Di Matteo21/03/2026 11:29

Alessandro Ristori has brought back the energy of rock’n’roll and the elegance of Italy’s “Dolce Vita,” conquering the most exclusive stages around the world. Between tailored suits and the charisma of a true showman, Ristori is not just the entertainer of the international jet set — he is a complete artist capable of uniting Italy with the rest of the world through music.

In this interview, he shares his artistic vision, the secret behind his electrifying live shows, and his more intimate side — reflected this year in the release of his album Il tempo delle donne and in his role as testimonial for the 2026 Roma Rose Award.

Alessandro, your style is an unmistakable trademark: it blends the energy of 1950s rock’n’roll with the sartorial elegance of the Italian “Dolce Vita.” How did you manage to take an aesthetic from the past and make it so incredibly modern and captivating for today’s audience?

First of all, thank you for calling it a trademark.

Rock’n’roll was my initial source of inspiration when I was young, and I carried it with me over the years.

Today it doesn’t have a big place in my repertoire, but it’s easy to understand that my background and my roots come from there.

I believe elegance is a fundamental part of my life and of the work I do. I think it’s captivating to have style — to be elegant while keeping the “messiness” of rock’n’roll. I fused all these elements into my professional career.

From Monte Carlo to Dubai, from London to New York, you make royalty, Hollywood stars and the international jet set dance — often singing in Italian. What’s the secret to breaking cultural barriers and getting such diverse and demanding audiences on their feet?

The key that opens all doors is often my Italian identity. Being spontaneous and genuine has helped me a lot in connecting with all kinds of people.

Among the many stages you’ve performed on, this year we saw you in a special role: testimonial of the 2026 Roma Rose Award — a role that perfectly aligns with your latest album, Il tempo delle donne. What does it mean for you, as a man and as an artist, to use your voice to celebrate female excellence and stand beside women in their daily challenges?

Celebrating women is a duty — and it should be done every day. Even if it may sound like a cliché, in this period where the real difficulty lies more in choosing the right words than in choosing the right values, I’m happy to say the words “woman” and “man” with a very positive meaning, aware that the greatest challenge is exactly this: becoming men and women. Because we are all born male and female, and improving ourselves is not easy.

Despite constantly flying from one side of the world to the other, you remain proudly tied to your Emilia‑Romagna roots. How important is the Italian province — with its authenticity and musical tradition — in keeping your feet on the ground while living a life always on the move?

It’s essential. You win if you are credible — meaning not constructed. Your life experience is part of the artist himself: you can’t fabricate a soul, only projects that feel artificial. Long live our roots.

You’ve performed for luxury brands, royal events and in the most exclusive clubs on the planet. For an artist who seems to have already conquered the highest peaks of global entertainment, what is the next stage to step onto — or the next musical milestone to reach?

I’ve been lucky enough to carve out this slice of the market over the years — a sort of parallel to the mainstream, which I don’t mind at all. Now that I’m 47, I think my artistic dimension is well defined, but I wouldn’t mind some “excursions” that could make my niche more popular. A Sanremo, cinema — why not?

Thank you very much for being with us!
