The Borarium in Opicina will host an event dedicated to personal histories on Monday, 11 May 2026 at 18:00. "Good Memory" features Rossella Zanelli, guide and educational operator of the Small Diary Museum, who will present materials from the National Diary Archive.
The Small Diary Museum preserves intimate testimonies—notebooks, letters, locked diaries and migrants' accounts—collected by the National Diary Archive of Pieve Santo Stefano. A notable piece is a two-person sheet written by Clelia Marchi, a vivid example of how everyday memories become part of collective history.
"Good Memory" is part of the Chiacchiere museali series organized by the Museum of the Bora to connect local audiences with museum experiences from across Italy. The event is held in collaboration with APM – National Association of Small Museums and with support from the 2024 Museums Activities Fund of the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia.
On the morning of 11 May, Rossella Zanelli and Daniela Derossi (head of educational activities at the Museum of the Bora) will run a workshop with two classes from Sauro Primary School to introduce children to diaries and personal memory.
