In Reggio Calabria: presentation of ‘Nel Regno del Falco’

On Wednesday 20 May at 18:00 the Sala d'Arte Le Muse (via San Giuseppe 19) will host the presentation of the novel Nel Regno del Falco. Cocaina e malaffare in terra di ’ndrangheta by Benedetto Lauretti. The event is part of the 12th edition of the regional project “Un libro al mese: Visti da vicino”, included in the Italian Extraterritorial Diffuse Culture Project.

Although fictional, the novel is built around an investigation triggered by the sinking of a submarine loaded with cocaine off the Ionian coast, and it explores alleged links between organized crime and local interests. The discussion will feature magistrate Vincenzo Pedone and former Carabinieri commander Cosimo Sframeli. Opening remarks will be given by Giuseppe Livoti, president of the Le Muse Cultural Association, and the introduction by Daniela Palamara.

The presentation is part of a two-location initiative in Vibo and Reggio Calabria promoted by the association “L'Isola che non c'è”.
