April 25 in Rome: events for Liberation Day

On April 25, Italy's Liberation Day, Rome hosts marches, public meetings and cultural initiatives across several neighborhoods. Below is a selection of the main events, including activities in the days leading up to the anniversary.

• April 17 - Quadraro, “Borgata ribelle”: Piazzetta dei Consoli, 16:30 — parade and concert organized by ANPI in a historic Resistance neighborhood.
• April 17 - Sapienza University: 17:30 — discussion “Right to Resistance – Struggles and resistances of peoples”, featuring guests and testimonials.
• April 23–26 - Festa della Resistenza (Rome Capital): Mattatoio di Testaccio and other venues — official program with talks, concerts, performances and screenings.
• April 25 - ANPI March in Rome: assembly at 09:00 at the Fosse Ardeatine, departure at 10:00 — route Tor Marancia → Garbatella → Ostiense → Porta San Paolo, concluding with speeches.
• April 25 - Antifascist march: Piazza delle Camelie, 09:30 (installation at 10:30) — march and commemorative installation.
• April 25 - San Lorenzo (Via dei Volsci): neighborhood celebration with communal pasta lunch, music, talks, sports activities and evening concerts; solidarity stands and book points throughout the day.
